Crocheting a Flower
by Galadriel Bond
Back in 2018, Em from the Loopy Stitches had an idea to crochet a flower every day of the year. Unfortunately, life got in the way and she had to scrap the project three months in. But it was immediately handed off to the Crochet Hook Up Facebook group, chaired by Natasha from Buttonnose Crochet.
Of course, it is no longer 2018, but it’s never to late to start on a project. I found a pattern through the Instagram tagging system that I liked. I chose a range of pinks from red to white, and I made my first few stitches.
I have been crocheting for a few months now, and I wondered what I liked so much about it. Picking up the camera for this project forced to me think about what would make a good shot and what I was thinking. I needed this; to slow down and capture the moments, instead of firing away and never looking back until the project was done.
