The Process of Archery

By Hadley Dubois
Every person is made up of their own passions and interests. Most high school students play a sport passionately and they know how therapeutic it is to score a goal, shoot a X or land a flip. Every athlete knows how it feels to do amazing in your sport, yet those same athletes also acknowledge how difficult it is to get to the point of near perfection. Student athletes dedicate hours upon hours of their time into their sports just to get a little better. Pressure is put on us more often than not. Student athletes need to have their sport as something calming, something that takes your mind off of all the hardships that may be affecting them. Despite the intense pressure there is in the world of archery to do well, I love it. Archery is a ten-step process that is repeated hundreds of times by each competitive archer, it is a routine that we must perfect to get the scores we desire. In this photo essay I will show you the extremely meticulous ten-step routine.
Here you will see a sequence of photos showing you the 10 steps of archery.
