CONNECTIONS CLUB Do you identify as having a disability? Are you looking to learn more about what this means? Canterbury has a club that engages in many of these topics. Everyone is welcome to join in and expand your knowledge. We meet every Tuesday at lunch in room 211, treats provided. Hope to see you there !! Black Students and Allies Club (BSA) Hey Canterbury! Are you ready for Black excellence represented around the school, cultural bake sales, and our annual Blackbuster? Need a place to connect with fellow black brothers and sisters? Or, an outlet to learn more about Black culture? The Black Students and Allies Club is back and welcoming all! We meet every Thursday, at lunch, in room 119! Hope to see you there! K-POP K-POP Dance Club is back and ready to take off every Wednesday, beginning this week, in room B038! NO DANCE EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED! Just be prepared to work out with new moves and new friends! Do your relatives ask you what you want to be when you grow up, But you can never find an answer? Luckily for you, STEM CLUB is coming to Canterbury! If you’re interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Mathematics, this is the place for you! We do interactive workshops, competitions, and based on student interest. Talk to Ms. Davina Gordon for details. Pride Club Pride Club is an opportunity for 2SLBTQ+ students to gather with your peers and to get to know your community. Our leadership team has met and we have great plans for the year. Come by and have a listen, and even contribute your own ideas. Pride Club meets every Wednesday at lunch in room 255. See you then! Muslim Club Do you want to connect with fellow Muslims? Do you want a safe place to learn about Islamic history, do fun things like henna, calligraphy, and arts & crafts? Well you should join MSA, Canterbury’s Muslim Students Association! MSA welcomes all Muslims and non Muslims. If you have any questions, message the MSA Instagram account @msa.canterbury. We meet every Thursday at 12 in room B003! Christian Club Hey Canterbury, come join the Christian Club every Tuesday @ lunch in Room 175. DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS CLUB Did you know that Canterbury High School has a Dungeons and Dragons Club? The club runs regularly at lunch hour, each Thursday, in the school library, starting September 21st. D&D is a fantasy role-playing game that is like interactive story telling. You do not need experience to play. Any Dungeon Masters interested in reserving a table for their group are asked to please e-mail Mr. Barker at: [email protected]. Only Dungeon Masters need to email. If you are a player, just show up starting Thursday September 21st. We’ll get you into a group if you do not already have one. Game on, brave adventurers! Debate Club If you’re looking for a group of like minded individuals to discuss world issues with, come to Room 176 every Thursday at lunch. No experience necessary. See you there, debaters! Indigenous Advocacy Club Are you concerned about the rights of First Nations Métis and Inuit peoples in Canada, aka Turtle Island? Are you interested in meeting your obligations to First Nations Métis and Inuit peoples here in Canada? Do you think that we can do more than wear an orange shirt once a year? If you answered yes to any of these questions, please join us in the Indigenous Advocacy Club - Mondays at lunch in The Lodge. |
